Humayun Ahmed's 'Debi' on silver screen

The movie 'Debi' will be released on October 19, 2018. The film is based on one of the best novels written by the late author Humayun Ahmed. The supernatural elements and the introduction of Ahmed's rationalist character Misir Ali had made this book extremely popular after its first publication in 1985.
In the movie, actor Chanchal Chowdhury will portray the character of Misir Ali, Jaya Ahsan will be playing Ranu and Sabnam Faria will be seen as Nilu.
I am very excited about this film. Chanchal Chowdhury is a great actor. I have become his fan after watching 'Aynabaji'. Jaya Ahsan and Sabnam Faria are very good performers and hopefully will do justice to the characters they are going to play.
I hope that the movie will successfully depict most of the core sequences in the book.
