Humayun Ahmed\\\'s mother passes away

Ayesha Faiz, mother of popular litterateur late Humayun Ahmed, died of ailments at a city hospital Saturday morning at the age of 84, report agencies.
She got admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at LabAid Hospital on September 11 with various complications including kidney malfunction.
Ayesha is also mother of a popular writer and teacher Prof. Zafar Iqbal.
Doctor Md Imran, who treated her at the coronary care unit, said she died at around 7.20 am.
Her namaz-e-janaza was held at a mosque adjacent to her son Ahsan Habib's Pallabi residence in the capital after Zohr prayers on the day, family sources said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed profound shock at the death of Ayesha Foyez.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
She will be laid to rest at 10am today (Sunday) after a second Janaza.
