Humayun, Mainul receive 'Sheltech Award-2007'

Noted writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed and renowned architect Syed Mainul Hossain have received 'Sheltech Award-2007' for their outstanding contributions in the respective fields.brWriter Faridur Reza Sagar handed the Sheltech crest over to Humayun Ahmed while Sheltech Chairman Engineer Kotub Uddin Ahmed presented it to Syed Mainul Hossain at a press conference at the National Press Club in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.brSheltech Pvt Limited, a real estate company, also gave a cheque for Tk 0.1 million (1 lakh) to each of them.brAfter getting the award, Humayun Ahmed said that he was always excited for any award as he had been deprived of awards in his childhood. brHe expressed the hope that Sheltech would play a very important role in supporting the nation besides their business.brDesigner of the National Mausoleum Syed Mainul Hossain also expressed his happiness over getting the award.brSheltech Managing Director Taufiq M Siraj also spoke at the function.
