Hungary assures new scholarships

Hungary has assured of providing new scholarships to Bangladeshi students side by side enrolling more students to the Hungarian universities at a comparatively lower tuition than in other European countries, reports BSS.
It also promised to support each other in different international forums on issues of mutual interests as well as support each other's candidature in various international and UN organisations on a reciprocal basis.
The assurance came when Bangladesh Ambassador to Hungary Mosud Mannan presented his letter of credence to Hungarian President Paul Schmitt at the Sandor Palace in Budapest Wednesday.
During the meeting, they recalled the excellent relations between Hungary and Bangladesh during and after the War of Liberation in 1971, especially during the tenure of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A former ambassador and Olympic medalist, President Paul Schmitt also emphasised the importance of exchange of VIP visits between the two countries when the Bangladesh Ambassador thanked Hungary for sending a children's delegation to Dhaka in 2009.
