Husband kills wife for dowry in Naogaon

NAOGAON, July 16 (BSS): A housewife was beaten to death allegedly by her husband at Chakadani-Karigarpara village under Raninagar upazila of the district last night.
The victim was identified as Jannatun Naim (18), wife of Alamgir Hossain of the same area.
Police and family members said Alamgir married Jannatun three years ago and he used to torture her for dowry.
Last night the couple locked into an altercation over the matter. At one stage of their altercation Alamgir beaten his wife Jannatun to death and hanged the body with the roof of the house.
Being informed, police recovered the body this morning and send it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue.
