Husband stabs wife dead in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Dec 22 (UNB): A housewife was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband at Bajikarkhanda village under Mongla upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Laizu Begum (24), wife of Mohiuddin Mridha, of the village.
Md Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mongla Thana, said Mohiuddin married Laizu three years back.
The couple locked into an altercation over family feud in the morning.
At one stage, Mohiuddin stabbed Laizu with a machete, leaving her critically injured.
Later, she was rushed to Mongla Upazila Health Complex where doctors pronounced her dead.
