IBBL arranges Doa Mahfil for late Ubaidul Huq

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) arranged a discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil for the death of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Khatib Moulana Ubaidul Huq at IDEB auditorium in the city Monday.
IBBL Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher was present as the chief guest at the discussion while its Executive President M Fariduddin Ahmad presided over the meeting.
IBBL Shari'ah Council Vice Chairman Mufti Sayed Ahmed delivered speech as the chief discussant on colourful life of late Ubaidul Huq.
Speaking on the occasion, Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher upheld different aspects of the colourful professional life of late Moulana Ubaidul Huq and said that he was an uncontroversial leader of the 'ulema' of Bangladesh, a competent interpreter of Islamic principles and an uncompromising valiant personality.
Even in his last 'khutba' at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Ubaidul Huq called upon all including the affluent people of the society not to lead their lives on interest income and laid emphasis on giving Zakat.
Those who spoke on the occasion were former chairman of IBBL M Ataur Rahman, Vice Chairman Zainul Abedin, Executive Committee Chairman Mominul Islam Patwary and Shari'ah Council Member Secretary Abu Bakr Rafique.
