IBBL doing a lot for prosperity, development of country

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) is contributing a lot towards the prosperity and development of the country. The total deposit of the previous six months is Tk 148.25 billion (14,825 crore) showing a growth rate of 26 per cent against the corresponding period of last year, said a press release.
The total investment reached Tk 146.54 billion (14,654 crore) showing a growth rate of 25 per cent against the corresponding period of the last year. The bank handled foreign trade amounting to Tk 118.45 billion (11,845 crore) showing a growth rate of 30 per cent against the corresponding period of the previous year.
The bank collected remittance worth Tk 36.48 billion (3648 crore) showing a growth rate of 40 per cent against the corresponding period of the previous year.
The information was disclosed in the day-long half yearly conference of heads of zones, corporate branches and branches under Dhaka central, south and north zones in the city Friday.
Chairman of the bank Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher inaugurated the conference. Executive President of the bank M Fariduddin Ahmad presided over the conference. Among others, Director and Chairman of audit committee Kazi Harunar-Rashed, Deputy Executive President ATM Harun-ur-Rashid Chowdhury and directors AKMS Islam and Md Shamsul Huda and the member-secretary of Shariah Council of the bank were also present, among others, on the occasion.
Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher, in his speech, as the chief guest, said all the activities of the bank are being conducted for the development and prosperity of the country. The services of the bank are open to all regardless of their religion, colour, caste and creed.
