IBBL Foundation holds scholarship awarding ceremony

Islami Bank Foundation (IBF), a subsidiary organisation of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL), organised a scholarship awarding ceremony for the selected students of Scholarship 2007 in the city Tuesday.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Salehuddin Ahmed was present in the programme as the chief guest.
Presided over by IBF Chairman Shah Abdul Hannan, the function was also attended by IBBL board of directors Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher and executive committee Chairman Mominul Islam Patwary as the special guests.
IBBL board of directors Vice Chairman Zainul Abedin, Executive President M Fariduddin Ahmad, and IBF scholarship implementation committee Chairman Mohammad Sharif Hossain also spoke on the occasion.
The scholarship programme is one of the important projects of IBF. This year 43 students at HSC or equivalent level, and 200 students at degree and masters level have been awarded respectively Tk 5,500 and Tk 9,900 each, amounting to a total of Tk 28,12,500. Under the programme Tk 4,04,000,00 has been distributed among 5,019 students from 1992 to 2007.
