IBBL gets award for remittance service

Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) has been awarded for its outstanding contribution to the foreign remittance service.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, on behalf of Centre for NRBs, handed over the award to Mohammad Abdul Mannan, managing director of IBBL, at a function held at a city hotel Tuesday.
US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena, FBCCI President Kazi Akramuddin Ahmed, former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Farashuddin and former Deputy Governor Khondokar Ibrahim Khaled were, among others, present on the occasion.
IBBL also received “Branding Bangladesh Award” for its contribution in branding Bangladesh across the globe, according to a news agency.
