IBBL hands over IDB-funded homes in Sidr-hit area

Islamic Development Bank has offered home reconstruction facilities for 120 distressed families hit by cyclone Sidr last year. The project was implemented through Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL).
AF Hassan Ariff, Adviser of Law, Religion and Land Affairs, handed over the key of the reconstructed houses at a function held at Matherpar Village, Khontakata Union under Shararlkhola Upazilla of Bagerhat District Friday.
IBBL Audit Committee Chairman Kazi Harun-ar-Rashed presided over the function. Special guest was Dr. Mohammad Hasan Salem, Chief of Special Assistant Division of Islamic Development Bank.
Earlier, they inaugurated the 'Fael Khair Programme' for the Sidr affected areas. Under the supervision of Islamic Development Bank and Islami Bank Foundation, the project was formally commenced through distributing profit free investment among 10 women of 45 dollars each with a view to making them solvent at Sharankhola of Bagerhat.
