FE Report
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) organised an 'Iftar mahfil' for the flood-affected people of Manikdi on the MI Dakhil Madrasah premises at Manikdi Friday.
IBBL Executive Committee (EC) Chairman Mominul Islam Patwary was present on the occasion as the chief guest.
Managing Committee Vice Chairman of the madrasah Md Mohsin Ali presided over the programme.
The IBBL EC chairman, in his speech, said Ramadan is the month of self-rectification and abnegation. It makes a bridge between the poor and the rich, the weak and the strong, the haves and the have-nots.
The month dictates us to give food to the hunger-stricken people and to spend money in the right way, he added.
He called upon the flood-hit people to face the existing problems with patience and tolerance. He also urged the rich people of the society to come forward for the post-flood rehabilitation programmes.
