IBBL holds performance review meeting

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher said IBBL officials should remember that they are playing a significant role in making Islamic economics and Islamic banking movement successful and do their respective works accordingly.

He was speaking as the chief guest of a day-long performance review meeting with the heads of zones, corporate branches and different branches of the bank. IBBL Vice Chairman Moulana Zainul Abedin inaugurated the function Saturday at a city Hotel.

IBBL Managing Director M Fariduddin Ahmad, deputy managing directors Md Shamsul Haque, Mohammad Abdul Mannan and Md Habibur Rahman and other top executives attended the meeting.

Abduz Zaher said officials, staff and clients of all segments of the bank are believers in Allah, obedient to the rules of Allah, willing to go to heaven and fear the torment of hell. That is why they are playing a vital role in representing Islami Bank to people.

IDB President Ahmad Muhammad Ali termed Islami Bank a model bank at IDB conference. IDB and CIBAFI appealed to the Islami Bank authority to take over the responsibility of launching Islamic banking in different countries of the world including the sub-continent.

He also said officials from the bank have been working in different countries including some countries in Africa and carried Islamic banking experience abroad. In this country, this bank should be established as 'my bank' to all through maximum service.
