IBBL Officers' Kalyan Samity holds general meet, installation

General meeting and coronation programme of the newly-elected committee of Islami Bank Officers' Kalyan Samity was held at the BCIC auditorium in the city Monday, said a press release.
Chairman of the board of directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) Prof Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher was present at the meeting as the chief guest while Chairman of the Executive Committee Mominul Islam Patwary and Executive Committee President M Fariduddin Ahmad were present as the special guests on the occasion.
Presided over by Aseque Ahmed Jebal, president of the Samity and senior vice president of the bank, the programme was addressed, among others, by Md Abul Bashar, executive vice president, Nazrul Islam Khan and Abdus Sadeque Bhuiyan, deputy presidents of the Samity.
Prof Abduz Zaher, in his speech, said IBBL was the organisation that introduced welfare-oriented banking system in the country.
Islami Bank was the name of a movement, a struggle and a drastic endeavour, he added.
