IBBL opens branch at Khagrachhari

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) inaugurated its 198th branch at Mini Super Market on Bazar Shahi Jame Masjid Road at Khagrachhari.
Chairman of the Hilltract District Council of Khagrachhari Ruithi Karbari inaugurated the branch as the chief guest Sunday, said a press release.
Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the bank Zainul Abedin was present at the inaugural function as the special guest. Managing Director of the bank M Fariduddin Ahmad presided over the function.
Among others, Executive Vice President and Head of Chittagong Zone of the bank Abul Hossain, Member of the Khagrachhari Hilltract District Council Animesh Dewan, Secretary of Baitus Sharaf, Khagrachhari and Member of Khagrachhari Chamber of Commerce Mohammad Selim, Member of Khagrachhari District Council Abu Bakkar Siddik, President of Bazar Businessmen Association Mohammad Fazlul Haque and Secretary of Mini Super Market Mohammad Nazir Ahmed were present at the function.
Addressing the function, Mr Ruithi Karbari hailed the bank's management for fulfilling the long cherished expectations of the people of this remote and neglected locality by opening the branch.
He praised the developed customer service of the bank and said that people of Khagrachhari, specially the business society would benefit from this Bank.
Meanwhile, a seminar on 'Islamic Economics and Banking' was organised on the branch premises on the occasion of inauguration of the branch of the bank.
Chairman of the Shariah Council of the bank and Chairman of Baitus Sharaf Anjumane Ittehad Mohammad Qutubuddin addressed the seminar as the chief discussant.
Managing Director of the bank M Fariduddin Ahmad presided over the seminar.
