IBBL seminar on 'Shari'ah Research in Islamic Bank Management' held

A seminar on 'Shari'ah Research in Islami Bank Management: Importance, Scope and Methodology' organised by Shari'ah Council Secretariat of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) was held at its head office in the city recently, said a press release.
IBBL Board of Directors Chairman Prof Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher was present as the chief guest, while its Executive Committee Chairman Md Eskander Ali Khan, Audit Committee Chairman Md Shahidul Islam and Member Secretary of Shari'ah Supervisory Committee Prof Dr Abu Bakr Rafique attended the seminar as special guests.
Chaired by IBBL Managing Director Mohammad Abdul Mannan, the keynote paper was presented by Dr ASM Toriqul Islam of Islamic University, Kushtia and member of Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of the bank.
Discussants in the seminar were member of Supervisory Committee of its Shari'ah Council Dr Hassan Mohammad Moinuddin, Executive Vice-president (EVP) Dr Moulana Mohammad Abdus Samad, IBTRA Director General Nurul Islam Khalifa, EVP of Shari'ah Council Secretariat of the bank Md Shamsul Huda.
Also present in the seminar were IBBL deputy managing directors Md Habibur Rahman and Md Nurul Islam along with top executives of the bank.
