IBBL, Seylan Bank ink deal on foreign remittance

An agreement on foreign remittance was signed between Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) and Seylan Bank of Sri Lanka in the city recently, said a press release.
IBBL Deputy Executive President and Head of International Banking Wing Mohammad Abdul Mannan and Seylan Bank Limited Chief Executive Officer Auzita Pasqual signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
IBBL Executive President M Fariduddin Ahmad and Ceylinco Consolidated Deputy Chairman Hiron D Silva were also present on the occasion.
The customers of IBBL will now easily receive money sent by the expatriates residing in different countries of the world from any branch of the bank.
Meanwhile, with the introduction of online banking, internet, e-mail and different services based on modern technology in central remittance processing division and other branches of IBBL, it is now possible to pay the money sent by the expatriates to the recipients within a short time.
