IBCF reelects chairman

Chairman of the board of directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) Prof Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher has been re-elected chairman of the Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF) for the next year while Chairman of the board of directors of Exim Bank Limited Md Nazrul Islam Majumder was elected vice chairman.
They were elected at the 28th meeting of the Forum held in the city Sunday, said a press release.
Chairman of the Forum Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher presided over the meeting.
Among others, Adviser of the IBCF Shah Abdul Hannan, Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Akkas Uddin Mollah, Managing Director (MD) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mohammad Ali, MD of IBBL M Fariduddin Ahmad, MD of Exim Bank Kazi Masihur Rahman, MD of Dhaka Bank Limited Khondker Fazle Rashid, MD of Social Investment Bank Limited KM Ashaduzzaman, DMD of Prime Bank Limited Isbahul Bar Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director of Southeast Bank Limited MA Muhit, Secretary of IBCF and Executive Vice President of IBBL M Shouquat Ali, Senior Vice President and Manager of Islami Banking Branch of AB Bank Limited ABM Abdus Sattar and Deputy Secretary of IBCF Md Fariduddin were present at the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting special prayer was offered for salvation of the departed souls of the army officers who were killed in the BDR mutiny and condolence was expressed for their bereaved family members.
