IBF holds awarding ceremony for selected students

A scholarship awarding ceremony for the selected students was organised by Islami Bank Foundation (IBF) was held at BCIC Bhaban auditorium in the city Saturday, said a press release.
Former chief adviser of Caretaker Government Justice Md Latifur Rahman was present in the function as the chief guest.
Chaired by former chairman of IBBL Board of Directors and member of IBF Scholarship Implementation Committee Kazi Harun-ar-Rashed, the function was attended, among others, by IBBL Executive Committee (EC) Chairman Md Eskander Ali Khan as the special guest, IBBL Director Md Nazrul Islam and its ex vice-chairman Zainul Abedin.
This year 150 students at SSC or equivalent level, 200 students at Degree and Masters level and 119 students at higher level have received Tk 4,502,900.
Under the programme, the foundation distributed Tk 52 million (5.20 crore) among 6,040 students from 1992 to 2009.
