ICAB delegation in Delhi to attend SAFA events

A seven-member delegation of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) headed by its President Humayun Kabir left Dhaka for New Delhi to attend the 3-day ICAI Diamond Jubilee conference and the events of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) to be concluded today (Wednesday).
Other members of the delegation are ICAB Vice President Md Syful Islam, SAFA Vice President Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, ICAB Council members ASM Nayeem and Nasir Uddin Ahmed, and SAFA Board Technical Advisor Jamaluddin Ahmed and ICAB Secretary NI Chowdhury.
Humayun Kabir, Syful Islam and NI Chowdhury attended the inaugural session of the ICAI Diamond Jubilee celebration held Tuesday at Viggan Bhawan, New Delhi. Indian Prime Minister Monmohon Singh inaugurated the celebration.
ASM Nayeen participated in the SAFA committee meeting on Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) and Nasir Uddin Ahmed participated in the SAFA committee meeting on education, training and CPD.
Sheikh A Hafiz and Jamaluddin Ahmed will participate in the 5th SAFA board meeting to be held today (Thursday).
The ICAB president will present a paper on 'Accountancy Profession in 2021' at the SAFA conference to be held today (Thursday). SAFA President Syed Mohammad Shabber Zaidi will preside over that session.
