ICAB men leave for Geneva

A delegation of the ICAB led by its President Md Humayun Kabir left Dhaka Sunday for Geneva to attend the 25th Anniversary Session of UNCTAD's Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR).
The three-day conference will be held between tomorrow (Tuesday) and Thursday (November 6), said a press release.
The main agenda of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) anniversary session will be "A Review of Practical Implementation Issues of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFIRS)".
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) members will also attend two workshops on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and the Framework For International Education Pronouncements and Policy Context for Responsible Investment scheduled to be held between today (Monday) and Friday (November 7).
Vice President of the ICAB Md Syful Islam and Member Council and former president Abbas Uddin Khan are the other members of the delegation.
