ICAB seminar on finance ordinance

A CPD seminar on the Finance Ordinance 2009 was organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) at the ICAB auditorium in the city Monday.
Member (Income Tax Policy), National Board of Revenue (NBR) Syed Md Aminul Karim attended the seminar as the chief guest.
The chief guest, in his speech, said the main intention of the government reflected in the fiscal measures taken in the budget for 2009-2010 was to mobilise resources so that government dependence on bank borrowing and foreign loan was considerably reduced.
In this situation, it was vital for the professional accountants of the country to go through an in-depth interpretation and analysis of the salient features and implications of changes made in the Income Tax Ordinance 1984 and VAT Act 1991 by the Finance Act 2009.
President of SAFA Sheikh A Hafiz conducted the seminar as session chairman.
