ICB Securities to open more branches

ICB Securities Trading Company Ltd has approved 200 per cent stock dividend for the year 2007-08 out of its net profit of Tk 160.2 million earned during the period.
The approval came at the 8th annual general meeting of ICB Securities, a subsidiary of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), held at the board room of the company in the city recently.
ICB General Manager Dina Ahsan presided over the AGM. The chief executive officer of the company, all directors and shareholders of the company were present at the meeting.
The shareholders discussed various aspects of the company achievements and made suggestions to continue the success in future.
The company maintained leading position in transactions of securities in both the stock exchanges of the country in 2007-2008.
The company transacted securities worth Tk 53.751 billion in DSE and Tk 5.14 billion in CSE during 2007-2008.
Apart from the head office located at Motijheel in the city, ICB Securities Trading has been carrying out its trading activities by opening branches at Chittagong, Sylhet, Barisal, Rajshahi, Khulna and Bogra.
To extend the trading facilities to the investors of Uttara, ICB Securities is going to start trading operations very soon. Company's branch located at different places have been making transactions with the DSE and CSE directly through radio link. This has created opportunities for the investors to make their transactions directly with the stock exchanges from any branches of the company.
