ICC approves Ziaur as Rubel\\\'s replacement

The Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 has approved Ziaur Rahman as the replacement player for Rubel Hossain in the Bangladesh National team for the rest matches of the tournament, reports UNB.
Pacer Rubel Hossain dislocated a finger during Bangladesh's last game against Hong Kong and has been ruled out of the tournament.
Bangladesh will start their Super-10 campaign of the 1CC World Twenty20 taking on defending champion West Indies on Tuesday (Mar 25) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Ziaur Rahman, a 27-year-old right-handed all-rounder has played eleven T20 internationals when he has scored 108 runs and took two wickets.
He made his debut against Ireland in Belfast in July 2012 and played his last T20I against New Zealand in Mirpur in November last year.
The replacement of a player requires the approval from the Event's Technical Committee before the replacement player officially added to the squad.
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 consists of Geoff Allardice (ICC, chairman), Campbell Jamieson (IDI representative), Mahbubul Anam (BCB Director), Khaled Mahmud Sujan (BCB Director and former captain), Russel Arnold (independent nominee) and Mpumelelo Mbangwa (independent nominee).
