ICC promises Bangladesh significant hike in funding
BCB believes fund they receive unjust

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan has said on Saturday that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has promised them a significant raise in their revenue in the next cycle, starting from 2023, reports Cricbuzz.
The BCB chief insisted that the board had challenged the governing body of cricket as they believe that the fund they receive from ICC is unjust and now they are expecting to receive as much as Cricket Australia in the next cycle.
"The (ICC) funding will increase in the future - from 2023, we will get much more," Nazmul told reporters during a programme in Dhaka.
"From the next cycle, Bangladesh will get the same amount as Australia. We are getting the same amount as Zimbabwe now. I did challenge the ICC but there was no result as the revenue cycle had already begun."
Nazmul claimed that their Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) had crossed Tk 9 billion during his tenure.
"The BCB's money (savings) has increased a lot. We have earned it all. All of our sponsors are local, not foreign. We now have an FDR worth Tk 9 billion."
Cricbuzz has acquired a copy of the document which was presented to the BCB councillors during their last AGM held on August 26 ahead of the next board election.
According to the paper submitted to the councillors, BCB have received funding worth BDT 8.33 billion until the 2019-20 fiscal year.
