Bangladesh's all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Afghanistan’s pacer Dawlat Zadran have been fined for breach of the ICC’s Code of Conduct in the World Twenty20 opening match at Sher-e-Bangla national stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka on Sunday. Both will lose fifty percent of their match fees. The ICC in a press release on Sunday said both players were found guilty of “inappropriate and deliberate physical contact” in the course of play in the WT20 opener. The fracas happened during the ninth over of Bangladesh’s innings. Dawlat, in his follow through, made deliberate physical contact with Shakib. The ace all-rounder in turn reacted and made physical contact with Dawlat. Both pleaded guilty to the charges and were given the lowest possible punishment for a ‘Level-2’ breach, according to bdnews24.com.
