ICCB, GTZ hold workshop on 'Incoterms 2000' today

Bangladesh National Committee of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the world business body, in collaboration with German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) will hold a day-long workshop on the latest international commercial terms, known as 'Incoterms 2000' today (Saturday) at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.
ICC-Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman will inaugurate the workshop at 10:00 am, said a press release.
The inaugural programme is also expected to be addressed by BKMEA President Md Fazlul Hoque, BGMEA President Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury and Mamun Rashid, chairman, ICCB Standing Committee on Banking Technique and Practice, and managing director, Citibank NA, Bangladesh, and workshop resource person from Europe Pavel Andrle.
The objective of the workshop, designed for the exporters in the readymade garments industries, is to inform the participants of the regulations of the 'Incoterms 2000' that have been internationally accepted with regard to sales contract and payment methods, transport documents and insurance documents.
Pavel Andrie, an international trade-finance expert from Europe, will conduct the workshop. He will also conduct two more workshops -- one on "Incoterms 2000" tomorrow (Sunday) and another on "UCP 600: Best Practices" on September 3.
