ICE Tech, Hungama Mobile sign partnership deal

ICE Technologies and Services Limited, one the leading systems integrators in the telecommunications industry in the country, Tuesday signed a partnership agreement with Hungama Mobile for distributing mobile content of Bangladeshi music to global market.
Hungama Mobile is currently the largest mobile content distributor in South Asia. Hungama represents some of the largest entertainment studios in the world namely: Warner Bros. Online, Sony Pictures, T-Series, Mukta Arts, Deep Emotions, Juice and many others.
"This is the first time an initiative is taken on such a large scale to promote the musical talents of Bangladesh in the international domain," Rubaiyat Jamil, chief executive officer of ICET4238, said at a press conference in the city.
He further said this will not only allow music lovers to download and enjoy music from Bangladesh globally, but it will also give our musicians the opportunity to compete with global players.
Under the agreement for exchange of music and culture, Hungama will not only take Bangladeshi music to the international arena, but also distribute here mobile content from international blockbuster movies such as Spiderman 3, James Bond Collection, Salaam E Ishq and others, Jamil said.
"Bangladeshi music and rhythm have been catching up with global standards at a faster pace and we are honoured to be in a position to be able to distribute it to the global network through our platform of wireless carriers and internet music portals", Saleem Mubani, COO of Hungama Mobile, said.
He said Hungama and ICET4238 are committed to uphold the musical talents of Bangladesh in the global stage and are in discussions with the local music houses to collect songs for int’l distribution.
