The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised a post-budget discussion on the National Budget 2008-2009 at the ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium at Nilkhet in the city recently.
Former adviser of the caretaker government Wahiduddin Mahmud attended the discussion as the chief guest while Unnayan Shamannay Chairman Atiur Rahman and ICAB past president MA Baree were present as special guests. ICMAB President Zahir Uddin Ahmed was in the chair, said a press release.
ICMAB past president AKM Delwar Hussain delivered the address of welcome and ICMAB Secretary Abu Sayed Md Shaykhul Islam gave the vote of thanks.
Chairman of ICMAB Chittagong Branch Council Md Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar presented the technical paper in the discussion.
Upholding the significance of the national economy and employment opportunities, various aspects of the national budget was highlighted in the discussion.
