ICMAB holds discussion on SIDR survey report

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised a discussion on 'Survey Report on Devastations Caused to the Bangladesh Economy by Cyclone SIDR-2007' at the ICMAB auditorium in the city recently.
ICMAB past president and South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) past president Md Nurul Hassan presented the survey report in the meeting.
Secretary for Information Jamil Osman attended the meeting as the chief guest while ICMAB past president Rafiq Ahmed was present as the special guest.
Chaired by ICMAB President Zahir Uddin Ahmed, the meeting was addressed, among others, by vice-presidents ABM Shamsuddin and AKM Delwer Hussain.
The survey report detailed the losses under 27 different heads. Later, the losses were summarised under 11 major heads and the total loss stood at Tk 307,900 million or US$ 4.4 billion.
A good number of members of the Institute and senior students took part in the meeting.
