ICMAB holds pre-budget discussion on national budget

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised a pre?budget discussion meeting on National Budget-2010?2011 at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium in the city recently, said a press release.
Textiles and Jute Minister Abdul Latif Siddique, MP, was present as the chief guest at the programme.
Former State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Abdul Mannan, FCMA and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) president Annisul Huq spoke as special guests on the occasion. Professor of Jahangirnagar University Anu Muhammad also spoke as guest speaker.
Former president of ICMAB and Taxes Appellate Tribunal Md Abdur Rashid, FCMA, presented the main paper.
Mr Rashid in his paper placed a number of recommendations for increasing government's earnings by expanding tax net without increasing tax rate.
ICMAB President Abdul Aziz, FCMA presided over the discussion.
