ICSB delegation meets Commerce Minister

FE Report The newly elected Council Members of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) led by its new President, Mohammad Asad Ullah called on Commerce Minister Ghulam Muhammed Quader, MP, at his office chamber at the Secretariat Thursday. The President of the Institute introduced the newly elected Council Members to the Honorable Minister and apprised him about the recent development activities done by the ICSB as well as its future plans. The Commerce Minister appreciated the role of ICSB in promoting professionalism and development of the Company Secretaries profession in the country. He also appreciated that the ICSB has been providing international standard professional education in the country in line with UK, India and other developed countries of the world so that its Members can compete with other profession and get employment home and abroad. He assured that the Ministry of Commerce will do everything possible for further development of the profession in the country. Upon query, Hon'ble Minister apprised the delegates that the draft of new Companies Act is now under final stage and the Government is actively considering to finalize it within their period. The Council Members thanked the Commerce Minister for giving his valuable time and hoped that his continued support and guidance will help the Institute to move forward to achieve its objectives. Senior Vice President of the Institute M. Naseemul Hye FCS, Vice President Md. Monirul Alam FCS, Council Member Md. Selim Reza FCS & M. Nurul Alam FCS, Secretary of the Institute Mustafa Mohiuddin and other Council Members were present during the meeting.
