ICSB delegation meets with NBR Chairman

The delegation of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) led by its president Mohammad Asad Ullah called on Md Abdur Rahman Khan, Secretary, Internal Resources Division (IRD) and Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) at his office on Thursday, says a press release.
On behalf of the delegation, the president of ICSB congratulated Khan on his appointment as the chairman of NBR. After that he introduced the council members and apprised him about the various activities that ICSB undertook for the professional development of its members as well as its plans.
The ICSB team requested the NBR chairman to include Chartered Secretary profession in the Customs Act and the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Rules. The NBR Chairman took this request positively and assured his cooperation for the development of the profession.
The council members thanked the NBR Chairman for giving his valuable time and hoped that his continued support and guidance will help the Institute to move forward to achieve its objectives.
