ICSB, ICSI hold int'l training

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) jointly organised and international training on 'Extended Scope of Works for CS Professionals' held at a hotel in Dhaka on September 15-16, says a press release.
Md Zakir Hossain, Secretary & CEO of ICSB, introduced the guests on the stage at the inaugural session and welcomed all the participants.
The international training programme was inaugurated by Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS, President of ICSB, and CS Manish Gupta, President of ICSI, was present as the chief guest.
Mohammad Asad Ullah said this training will extend the collaboration of ICSB and ICSI.
He informed that in the upcoming days this kind of training will be held for the development of company secretaries of both the countries.
CS Manish Gupta thanked the ICSB for organising this event.
In his speech, he discussed the extended scope of works for CS professionals. He assured the ICSB of extending continued expertise support. He also emphasised the importance of creating a mutual forum among Asian Countries for the development of the CS profession.
At the training, important topics were discussed such as Corporate Governance, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Company Law, Secretarial Audit, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Due Diligence Reporting and Income TAX Laws, Value Added Tax (VAT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
