ICT-2 adjourns Qaiser\\\'s hearing until April 28

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 Thursday adjourned the hearing of the trial of Syed Mohammad Qaiser, charged with committing crimes against humanity during the War of Liberation, until April 28, reports BSS.
The second tribunal set the date as the defence concluded cross-examining 8th prosecution witness (PW) in this trial Thursday.
War injured freedom fighter (FF) Shah Hossain Ali, alias Sabu testified against the former state-minister for agriculture on April 22, accusing him of masterminding the abduction and subsequently killing of his father and making himself crippled for life.
Hossain, 63, in his deposition said following the amputation of his left leg that became crippled due to torture by Qaiser and his men in 1971, he became jobless and is now living on the pity of his relatives.
The ICT-2 on February 2, 2014, framed 16 charges of crimes against humanity against Qaiser, who had allegedly raised an auxiliary force to Pakistan army after his name during the war and committed heinous crimes in and around Habiganj.
UNB adds: Physically-challenged FF prosecution witness (PW) Thursday said the FFs had taken control over with heavy security parapet before the Pakistan occupation army and its local associate accused Qaiser along with his private outfit invaded Habiganj on April 30, 1971.
 "I heard the information from our Habiganj secret control room," recalled PW-8 Shah Hossain Ali during the cross-examination by the defence counsel.
