Wednesday, 13 October 2010
The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has ordered that Jama'at leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee should be produced before the court on November 2 even if he had to be brought in by an ambulance, reports bdnews24.com.
The court deferred the hearing of a case to the date Tuesday as the defendant could not appear at court due to illness. The case was filed against Sayedee for alleged crimes against humanity during 1971 war.
This is the third deferral of Sayedee's appearance before the court due to his illness.
Earlier, Sayedee could not be produced before the court on September 22, when a hearing on his arrest warrant was set to be held.
The hearing was deferred on August 10 and 24 when he could not be produced before the court first for his illness, and then due to maintenance work at the court building.
