ICT recruitment rules underway

Wednesday, 4 June 2014

The government will introduce a recruitment policy for the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)’s investigations agency very soon. The recruitment rules may be finalised at t0e 15th meeting of the secretarial committee on administrative development today (Wednesday). The home ministry proposal for the committee says the investigation agency urgently needed a regular workforce to carry out its important duties. The agency works by attaching personnel from the home ministry and various departments. The government in June last year approved a total of 289 posts to be created at the agency, including 25 class II, 200 class III and 47 class IV positions. The draft recruitment rules say the agency can recruit personnel through direct appointment, promotion and deputation, but within stipulated age limits. For personnel already appointed on an ad hoc basis, the age limit may be relaxed, it says, according to a news agency.
