ICT sends Cox\\\'s Bazar razakar to jail

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 sent on Monday Shamsuddoha, alleged Razakar leader from Maheshkhali, Cox's Bazar to jail and set May 31 to pass on charges against Habiganj war crime suspects, reports BSS.
The tribunal passed the order as police produced him before the court.
The same tribunal sent Jinnat Ali, Maulavi Osman Gani, Nurul Islam and Badshah Miah, accused in the same case to jail.
Earlier on May 21, the ICT-2 issued arrest of warrant against 16 alleged Razakars, including the five.
"The investigation officer found involvement of another 16 with crimes against humanity as he was carrying out his probe against three Cox's Bazar Razakars Salamat Ullah Khan, Abdur Rashid and Maulavi Jakaria," said Prosecutor Rana Dasgupta on that day.
Earlier on March 1, the second tribunal issued arrest warrant against Salamat Ullah Khan, Abdur Rashid and Maulavi Jakaria and police on the same day arrested the first two and produced them before the court the next day.
The tribunal also asked the investigation agency to conclude their probe against the 19 by July 16.
Meanwhile, The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 set May 31 to pass order whether to framed charges brought against Habiganj Razakar trio Mohibur Rahman alias Boro Miah, his younger brother Mozibur Rahman alias Angur Miah and their cousin Abdur Razzak into cognizance or not.
The tribunal set the date as the prosecution submitted formal charge against the brothers, bringing four charges of crimes against humanity.
The trio is accused of raising a gang of Razakars in Baniachang upazila in Habiganj and establishing a camp in the locality. They raided the houses of freedom fighters and pro-liberation people, carried out monstrous crimes like killing, raping, looting valuables and arson.
Mohibur, former chairman of Khagaura union parishad under Baniachong upazila of Habiganj, and Mozibur, the incumbent chairman of the same union, were arrested on February 10, and Razzak was arrested on May 19, 2015.
