ICT to fix hearing date Nov 17

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) will fix on November 17 the date for hearing on charges submitted against Salauddin Quader Chowdhury for his alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during the liberation war in 1971.
The date was set today upon an appeal by the prosecutors who submitted formal charges against him to the tribunal on Monday.
The tribunal will begin the trial after taking the charges into cognizance.
Prosecutor of the tribunal Zead Al Malum told BSS that the charges against Salauddin Quader Chowdhury include 1275 pages of documents and 18 DVDs. He was directly involved in incidents of crimes in 25 places including genocide, rape and abduction during the liberation war in 1971, Malum added.
