IDCOL pays Tk 100m to govt as dividend

Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), a non-banking financial institution, owned by the government has paid Tk 100 million as dividend for the FY 2010-2011.
Secretary, ERD and Chairman, IDCOL Iqbal Mahmood handed over the dividend cheque to Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith.
Among others, Secretary, Finance Division and Director, IDCOL Dr Mohammad Tareque, NazruI Islam Khan, PS 1 to the Prime Minister and director, IDCOL, Maj Gen Amjad Khan Chowdhury (Retd), CEO, Pran Group and Director, IDCOL, Barrister Nihad Kabir, director, IDCOL, Md Shafiqur Rahman Patwary, secretary, bank and financial institutions division and Islam Sharif, CEO, IDCOL were present on the occasion.
IDCOL is one of the few government-owned entities that operate independently and pay dividends to the government, said a press release.
