IDCOL pays Tk 40m dividend to national exchequer

Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), a state-run non-bank financial institution, Sunday paid a dividend of Tk 40 million (4.0 crore) to the national exchequer for the fiscal year 2007-08, reports UNB.
Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Mohammed Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan handed over the cheque of the amount to Finance and Planning Adviser AB Mirza Md Azizul Islam at the Planning Ministry office in the city on the day.
Senior government officials and the company's executives were present on the occasion.
Officials said the company earned a net profit of Tk 140.1 million during the fiscal year.
From the profit, the company retained Tk 100 million to raise its paid-up capital to Tk 500 million.
In the fiscal 2006-07, the company paid a dividend of Tk 30 million to the national exchequer, they said.
