IDLC Finance elects chair, EC chair

Rubel Aziz and Md Shahidul Ahsan have been elected chairman and chairman of the Executive Committee (EC) respectively of IDLC Finance.
They were elected at a meeting of the board of directors of the company held in the city Tuesday, said a press release.
Mr Rubel was the director of the company and also the immediate past chairman of the EC of the company.
Mr Rubel is the chairman of The City Bank, vice chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) and managing director of Partex Beverage, a franchise of Royal Crown Cola International (RC Cola), Partex Plastics, Partex Jute Mills, Partex Properties, Partex Aviation and Partex Fisheries.
Mr Rubel is also the director of a number of companies of Partex Group and vice president of the Board of Trustees of IBAIS University.
Mr Rubel is also the former chairman of Janata Insurance Company.
Mr Ahsan is the chairman of Ahsan Group, AG Limited, AG Property Developments, AG Agro Industries, Regent Holdings Development, AG High-Tech, AG Ceramics, RNS Corporation, Friends Traders, Raima Fashion, Corporation AG Pte., Swadesh Builders, AG Fashion & Textile and AG Ship Breaking Industries.
He is also the sponsor director and a member of the EC of Mercantile Bank.
Mr Ahsan is also the sponsor director of Swadesh Life Insurance.
