IDLC workshop held

IDLC Finance Ltd. organized a three day-long workshop on Legal Framework in Financial Institution for its executives to give some basic and preliminary ideas on law & legal matters relevant to the activities of a financial institution.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Managing Director of IDLC Mr. Selim R. F. Hussain.
The resource persons of the workshop focused on the various applicable laws & regulations for financial institutions, legal implications of security documents/instruments, how security documents protect the interests of the financial institutions, enforcement of security, internal legal compliance, recovery process through judicial system and scope of dispute resolutions through alternative process i.e. ADR.
Among others Mr. M. Shahidul Haque, Secretary, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliament, Mr. Nazrul Islam Khan, Additional Secretary, Prime Minster's office, Barrister Imtiaz Farooq, Mr. Zakir Hossain, Director, Judicial & Administration Training Institute, Barrister Abdul Halim, Barrister AKM Rabiul Hassan spoke on various topics of law in the workshop as resource persons. Barrister Mizanur Rahman, Head of Legal Affairs IDLC coordinate the workshop.
All the sessions of the workshop were very interactive and participatory. The resource persons answered the queries of the participants from relevant legal authorities and their personal experience. Certificates were distributed among the participants by Mr. M. Shahidul Haque, Secretary, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division on the last day of the workshop.
In the closing speech Mr. Selim R. F. Hussain expressed that IDLC like its other activities is the pioneer to organize such an extensive legal workshop for its executives which will enhance the skill and expertise of the executives for execution of the legal documents properly and helps to ensure law and justice for recovery of outstanding loans through judicial process.
