IDLC's investors' awareness programme launched in Sylhet

IDLC Finance Limited (IDLC), a joint venture multi-product financial institution and a leading merchant bank, and its fully owned brokerage subsidiary IDLC Securities Limited jointly launched an investors' awareness programme at a hotel in Sylhet recently, said a press release.
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Mansur Alam and South Asian Federation of Exchanges Senior Vice-President and Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited Vice-President Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed were present as the chief guest and the guest of honour respectively.
Prof Osman Imam of Dhaka University and Prof Mohammad Musa of United International University presented their papers on the occasion.
IDLC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director Anis A Khan welcomed the guests and unveiled IDLC's plan of holding a series of similar awareness programmes in the next months.
Also present in the ceremony were IDLC Securities Limited CEO Kh Asadul Islam, head of IDLC Merchant Banking Mahmudul Bari and Assistant General Manager (AGM) and head of IDLC Sylhet branch Bidyut Kanti Das.
IDLC Finance Limited Deputy Managing Director Arif Khan moderated the discussion session.
A large number of capital market investors took part in the awareness programme.
The SEC chairman urged the investors to learn from the awareness programme and take rational investment decisions.
He appreciated the IDLC's initiative and underpinned the necessity of continuing such programmes for helping achieve long term stability of the market.
