IF official dies in city crash

An official of Islamic Foundation (IF), Bangladesh, died in a road accident in the city on Saturday morning. Mirpur Police Station, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and local sources said a bus knocked down Rafiqul Islam, 35, son of late Wahed Ali of Kawnia thana of Rangpur district near Khaleque Petrol Pump at Kollyanpur, leaving him critically injured early in the morning. He died a little while later, they added. Police recovered the body and sent it to the DMCH for autopsy. Police also seized the bus but its driver managed to escape, according to a news agency.
