IFIC Bank chief meets Nepalese PM

IFIC Bank Limited Chairman Md Lutfar Rahman met the Nepalese Prime Minister (PM) Madhav Kumar at the latter's residence in Kathmandu Saturday, the bank said in a statement.
During the meeting, Mr Rahman briefed the various potentialities to the Nepalese Prime Minister and highlighted the prospects of Bangladeshi investments in Nepal and also briefed the Prime Minister on the progress made by Nepal Bangladesh Bank (NB, Bank), which was established 15 years back as a joint venture bank in Nepal between IFIC Bank and NB Group of Nepal. The Bank has a paid up capital of NRs 1.84 billion and has a network of 17 branches.
The Nepalese Prime Minister welcomed the Bangladeshi investments in Nepal and assured that the Nepalese government would always extend all cooperation in this regard.
