Iftekhar condoles language veteran's death

Foreign Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury Monday expressed deep shock at the demise of Language Movement hero and renowned poet Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury, reports UNB.
In a condolence message, the adviser said late Mahbub ul Alam's celebrated poem on Amar Ekushey "Kandtee Ashine, Fashir Dabi Niye Eshechhi" inspired the people and students of the then East Pakistan to unite in the fight for freedom.
His death, Iftekhar said, is an irreparable loss to the nation. He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of the deceased and conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
