IGP leaves for Manila

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmud Khandker left Dhaka for Manila Saturday night for a weeklong study tour, reports UNB.
The study tour has been jointly organised by the UNDP, Philippine's Department of Justice, Philippine National Police and its National Bureau of Investigation.
Thirteen officials of Bangladesh Police and relevant departments are taking part in the study tour that will begin today (Monday).
Members of the study tour are Additional Home Secretary Shawkat Mostafa, Additional Inspector General of CID Mukhlesur Rahman, Chief of Physical Structure Department under Planning Commission SM Nasim Uddin, DIG Md Helel Uddin Badri, DIG Asaduzzaman Miah, Addl DIG Md Habirul Islam Bhuiyan, Addl DIG Md Shah Alam, Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Moniruzzaman, ASP Md Liakat Ali Rukoni, Deputy Secretary of Economic Relations Department Md Shafiqul Islam, Director of IMED Md Habibul Islam, PRP's Capacity Building Specialist Andries De La Rey Redman and IPP expert Md Muslem Ali.
