IGP seeks public support to stop mob justice

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 28 (BSS): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam has urged everybody to abide by the law saying mob justice in no way is acceptable.
He sought cooperation from the countrymen to stop recurrence of the incidents of mob justice or lynching.
IGP Md Mainul Islam was exchanging views with the journalists at Chattogram Metropolitan Police Headquarters this evening.
Referring to the incidents occurred on Dhaka University and Jahangirnagar University campuses the IGP said, if anyone commits any crime, should be handed over to the law enforcing agencies.
In no way, one can take the law in their own hands, he added.
IGP assured that every murder would be properly investigated through the fact finding committee.
