IIDFC, PRAN sign deal for setting up knitwear plant

Charka Textile Limited, a sister concern of PRAN-RFL Group, signed an agreement with Industrial and Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IIDFC) in the city recently.
Under the agreement, IIDFC will act as lead arranger for raising syndicated financing of Tk 500 million for setting up a composite knitwear plant.
Chief Executive of PRAN-RFL Group Major General (Retd) Amjad Khan Chowdhury and Chairman of IIDFC M Matiul Islam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Head of Structured Finance Kh Shafiqur Rahman, Assistant Vice President (Structured Finance) ASM Arif and Senior Manager (Corporate) Sebun Kr Naha of PRAN-RFL Group were also present on the occasion.
Charka Textile Ltd will be producing and marketing various types of garment products under its own branding both at home and abroad.
